For use with an aluminum primary housing. S&S SuperstockT crankcases; made from 356-T6 aluminum; are much stronger than the OEM case. OEM cases can/may break in high performance or even stock applications; like more than a few of us found out the hard way. These S&S SuperstockT cases can be used for both stock replacement and racing applications. Important to the engine builder are the substantial savings in labor when using S&S cases. These cases come ''set up'' with sprocket shaft Timken main bearing races and cam needle bearings installed and pinion shaft main bearing race pressed in and line-honed. Additional parts that are supplied include Timken sprocket shaft bearings; cylinder studs; nickel plated case bolts; crankcase fittings; oil pressure sensor; timing & magnetic crankcase drain plugs and a special S&S design alternator stator plug clamp screw. CNC machined from high strength heat treated aluminum castings make these S&S cases much more cost effective than billet cases. A Timkenr style sprocket shaft bearing is used to best withstand the most demanding applications. All oil passages between crankcase and gear cover are o-ring sealed.
