Kit includes JIMS polished and precision machined billet tappet guides; 4 Powerglide hydraulic tappets that are extra wide .761" dia. (OEM is .731" O.D.) and 4 JIMS Pro-Lite worksaver aerospace aluminum pushrods. This kit has a 3/8" lower seat for the pushrods; reducing the pushrod to tappet angle. With the great hydraulics found in the JIMS Power Glide tappets this kit is an excellent upgrade compared to any OEM or OEM style Shovelhead components. Note: For replacement hydraulic tappets for this kit see 961378 for Standard extra wide and 961379 for +.002" extra wide hydraulic Powerglide tappets.

This kit has a 3/8" lower seat for the pushrods; reducing the pushrod to tappet angle. Includes a set of two 7075-T651 chrome plated billet tappet blocks and a set of 4 large bore Powerglide big axle tappets. The tappets are special extra wide .761" outside diameter JIMS Powerglide tappets. Therefore OEM .731" diameter Powerglide Shovel tappets are not interchangeable. Note: 53-E76 Pan & Shovel models will require a tappet guide bolt conversion kit; like 502990 allen / 989173 Cap style / 513555 Acorn; that is correctly threaded for 53-E76 crankcases; so the bolt head will fit the flat L76-84 design of these JIMS tappet guides.

Chrome plated billet aluminum. With optimized pushrod cover angles for a perfect seal. Machined to accept early cork or late style quad seals. Works with up to .550" kift camshafts. Tappet block can easily be modified for higher lift cams. Upgraded replacement for 18602-80A rear and 18603-80A front. Note: On 53-E76 engine cases you will need a tappet screw conversion kit threaded for the early style cases (502990 allen head or 513555 acorn); with flat style tappet screws which will fit these late (flat) style tappets
