Standard 8:1 compression ratio. Used as stock replacement for 1340 (80″) Shovelhead models; 3-1/2″ bore with stock 4-1/4″ stroke. These S&S forged pistons come in an advanced alloy and skirt profiles; resulting in a quiet engine and long life; previously only achievable with cast pistons. This is an excellent choice to overhaul your stock 1340cc Shovel. Note: S&S piston fit recommendations: Close fit .0030″ to .0035″; loose fit .004″ to .005″. Note: In any and all applications the technician must be able to judge components for their suitability in combination with the other engine components; prior to installation. It is of importance that a knowledgeable mechanic will install & make adjustments as required. The rider must follow standard break-in and riding procedures for overhauled engines.
