For Twin Cooled engines. This is a precision CNC machined oil pump in the S&S blue anodized finish. It offers 20% oil flow increase on the supply side and a 52% scavenge side increase with independent scavenge sections for flywheel cavity and cam chest with debris screens in both scavenge pickups. A magnet in the cam chest will help prevent debris from entering the pump. The pressure relieve valve is adjustable and adjustments can be made with oil pump in engine. Note: Does not fit models with air cooled (oil cooled) engines.
OEM reproduction hydraulic unit. Replacement for 17920-53A. Note: The early style hydraulic tappets sets can be purchased as a set (hydraulic unit + tappet body with roller) or as individual parts. When purchasing individual parts correct tolerance cannot be guaranteed; which can influence hydraulic function. Dealers with a larger stock can mix and match hydraulic units and tappet bodies to compose a set that offers excellent bleed-down times. For all others it is advised to go for a complete hydraulic unit and tappet body assembly from the same manufacturer; as S&S or JIMS offer. These are machined with the correct tolerance relative to each other to work correctly right out of the box.

Jims PowerglideT tappets will give you a superior hydraulic function when compared with OEM style equipment; a billet steel body with hand-honed hydraulic unitcavity and an oil fed axle. To get full power; you must have zero valve lash and eliminate collapsing of the hydraulic unit as is found in the OEM unit; also called ''the shock absorber syndrome''. Failing to keep the valve open the full amount results in power loss. The Jims Powerglide tappets come as close to a solid tappet as possible; but are still able to compensate for heat expansion. They will even work well with solid style camshafts. Fits as a improved oversized diameter replacement for OEM 18538-99C. Note: Standard is .8420" O.D.
